Michelle Ertl
PsyD, CST
specializes in:
Trauma
Sex Therapy
Grief
As a psychologist, Michelle has spent most of her career supporting clients in navigating the deep impacts of trauma, ranging from early attachment wounds to experiences of sexual violence and combat. Through that work, she has come to believe that healing isn’t about fixing ourselves, but about learning to hold our pain with compassion and to move toward growth with intention and care. She believes that psilocybin-assisted therapy has the potential to not only help people process their pain, but to reconnect with a deeper sense of self that feels honest and meaningful.

Laurel Hicks
PhD
specializes in:
Perinatal Depression
Anxiety
Trauma
Dr. Laurel earned a dual-title Ph.D. in Clinical Social Work and Infant Mental Health in 2017, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Denver, where she explored how stress, trauma, and depression are passed down through generations during the perinatal period. She is a Research Scientist at the Renée Crown Wellness Institute at the University of Colorado Boulder, focused on mind-body and community-based approaches to support people through the transformative journey of the perinatal period. She is EMDR-certified and has specialized training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, DBT, Behavioral Activation, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and Psilocybin Mushroom Facilitation.
Alongside her clinical and academic work, she brings in tools from more intuitive traditions—She's taught yoga and meditation since 2005, is a Reiki Master, and an amateur herbalist, all of which deepen her commitment to integrative healing. She loves to create spaces that bring in the sacred through ritual and ceremony. This may be something as simple as lighting a candle, or more elaborate, weaving in your own ancestral or personal practices to help mark the threshold of the journey. Her roots as a Birth Doula shape how she approaches psilocybin work—she sees these journeys as a kind of birth, where she serves as a grounded, loving presence while something ancient and new moves through you. She trusts deeply in the innate intelligence of the mushrooms and in your inner wisdom to meet them. From an animist lens, she relates to the mushrooms as sentient beings, allies from the natural world who carry teachings from the mycelial web and the unseen realms. She is here not to direct the process, but to hold the container with care, reverence, and an open heart, inviting whatever wants to unfold to do so in a space of safety and sacredness.
